Prayer

What is Prayer

Prayer is speaking to God in words and thoughts.

Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
Jeremiah 33:3

Why Pray

We pray to make our requests known to God, to grow closer to him, and to know him better.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6

How to Pray

There isn’t a specific formula for prayer. Our best prayers are when we speak to God honestly, with faith, from our hearts. The Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 helps us learn how to pray.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart.
Hebrews 10:22

When to Pray

Anytime is the perfect time to pray. God is always listening and is eager to spend time with us.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer.
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬
